Large non-profit organization seeks a practical, collaborative lawyer to serve as in-house Assistant General Counsel with primary responsibility for division and program legal support, general contract review, “start-up” related business legal support, government contracts, public and private grants, conflicts of interest, and litigation support. Experience in election law, lobbying rules, and tax-exemption compliance a plus. The Assistant General Counsel works closely with the General Counsel, Deputy General Counsel, and Associate General Counsel.  This lawyer will work closely with Office of General Counsel colleagues, APA staff, APA elected and appointed leaders, Divisions, APA governance committees, outside counsel, and external parties to provide timely, strategic, and accurate corporate-related legal advice and risk management support to APA.
