JOB TITLE:                                       Analytics Data Engineer

 

 RESPONSIBLE TO:                        Senior Manager – Network Modelling & Optimisation

 

MAIN LOCATION:                         Jordan, Amman


Objective:



This role is a hands-on data engineering and analytics subject matter expert who designs, builds, and maintains the data pipelines, models, and analytical frameworks that underpin network optimisation. Working alongside analysts, engineering scalable data solutions, leveraging Python, SQL, and cloud platforms to ingest, transform, and structure large-scale logistics datasets for network scenario analysis.

 

The role leads the development and automation of modelling workflows, including the setup, configuration, and execution of situational scenarios across various network modelling tools and applications. By engineering robust, reproducible data processes.



Key Responsibilities:

 

Commercial & Strategic Priorities

·        Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL workflows to support network optimisation modelling, facility location analysis, and transport cost evaluation.

·        Develop and automate scenario analysis frameworks using Python and SQL, enabling rapid evaluation of logistics strategies and their impacts on cost and service levels.

·        Engineer robust data models and transformations to ingest, cleanse, and structure large-scale logistics datasets for analytical consumption.

·        Build and/or support others in building reproducible, modular analytical solutions (e.g., routing algorithms, clustering models, capacity planning tools) that can be configured and reused across multiple network planning exercises.

·        Prepare detailed reports, dashboards, and presentations that summarise modelling outputs, findings, and recommendations for senior stakeholders.

·        Articulate complex technical and analytical concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders, including management, operational teams, and technology partners.

 

Financial (e.g., budget expenditure, revenue, lending authority, profit targets etc.)

·        Manage projects from inception to completion, including defining project scope, timelines, and deliverables.

·        Develop and maintain robust financial and operational scenario details to assess implications of various network strategies, business concepts, investment options and catchment strategies. Undertake appropriate sensitivity testing and enable proposals to be signed off and used as inputs for capital planning and business case development.
