Systems Accountant

• →Support the build and optimisation of Apollo’s in-house finance system, working closely with Digital Solutions and Partner Syndicates Finance.
• →Help embed robust data architecture, data flows, and calculation capability, with key inputs from Sun and Xuber.
• →Translate finance requirements into practical system solutions that support reporting, controls, and Lloyd’s requirements.
• →Streamline finance processes through automation, system enhancements, and improved data quality.
• →Strengthen controls and data integrity across financial reporting processes.
• →Support statutory and regulatory reporting by improving how finance systems enable accurate, efficient delivery.

Finance and Lloyd’s Market Experience

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
• Experience within the insurance sector, ideally within the Lloyd’s market.
• Understanding of Lloyd’s reporting requirements and finance operations.

Systems and Technical Capability

• Experience working with finance systems in a syndicate or insurance environment.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Working knowledge of SQL or similar database tools.

Process Improvement and Controls

• Experience improving financial processes and driving efficiencies.
• Ability to strengthen controls and support audit outcomes.
• Focus on accuracy, data integrity, and continuous improvement.

Stakeholder Engagement and Delivery

• Comfortable working across Finance and Technology teams.
• Clear and confident communication style.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver independently.
