Our company is experiencing rapid growth, and we need a highly skilled hands-on Maintenance Engineer responsible for performing general maintenance and commercial kitchen equipment repair for Travel Plazas in Delaware and New Jersey, supporting multiple sites and ensuring the Plaza’s equipment is operating and being maintained cost-effectively Inspect, diagnose, and perform repairs and maintenance on all food service equipment.

• →Maintain small appliances, kitchen equipment, and minor electrical, plumbing, and carpentry repairs.
• →Ensure that all equipment is in safe operating condition.
• →Coordinate repairs within approved budgetary guidelines.
• →Maintain preventative maintenance schedule and records.
• →Travel to various Travel Plazas in Delware/New Jersey to repair and maintain all facility-related items.
• →Other duties as assigned.

• A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in the restaurant/hospitality industry.
• Experience in repairing commercial kitchen equipment and appliances is required.
• Must be familiar with commercial electrical (single & 3 phase 120,208 voltages)
• Skilled in plumbing (faucet and toilet repair, sink drain fix), painting, repairing and patching drywall, tile installation, and repair.
• Carpentry skills (basic carpentry for repairing cabinets, laminates, countertops, door repairs & adjustments).
• To operate a company vehicle, the applicants MUST be a minimum of 25 years old and have a valid driver's license.
• Ability to bend and twist to perform normal job functions.
• Ability to stand and walk for an extended period of time.
• Ability to lift and maneuver items weighing up to 25 lbs. regularly and 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to perform tasks while on a ladder.
• Ability to maintain balance while working on ladders and uneven surfaces.
• Ability to operate equipment that requires continual and repetitive hand and arm motions.
• Ability to be exposed to various climates heat and cold.
• Ability to work with a computer maintenance management system is required.
• Certificate of completion of courses in above-mentioned trades is recommended but not required.
