In addition, we offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package including:
Engineer I: $34.62–$40.38/hour
Engineer II: $38.46–$44.23/hour
Engineer III: $43.27–$49.04/hour
Senior Engineer: $46.63–$53.85/hour
Final compensation is based on experience, skills, and alignment with role expectations. Paid overtime may be available.
As a Quality Engineer in Madison, SD, you will:
- Drive quality control methods, procedures, and equipment to ensure consistent product quality in a manufacturing environment
- Implement inspection standards for materials, components, products, and production processes
- Identify quality issues, maintain inspection records, and support corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activities
- Manage non‑conforming material processes including containment, rework coordination, and material disposition
- Analyze customer complaints and internal failures to determine root causes and implement corrective actions
- Support quality assurance personnel and ensure alignment with quality objectives, timelines, and production requirements
- Conduct process capability studies, gage R&R, and measurement system analyses to support data‑driven problem solving
- Prepare quality reports using statistical analysis, trend monitoring, and performance metrics
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support production capabilities, process improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Work efficiently with suppliers and Applied partners
- Contribute to projects that impact communities in Wentworth, Colman, Chester, Humboldt, Montrose, Dell Rapids, Flandreau, Nunda, Ramona, Oldham, Arlington, Brookings, Volga, Sinai, Howard, Canova, Salem, Trent, Garretson, Hartford, and Baltic, and the greater Madison community

Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor of Science degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
- Experience in manufacturing, quality engineering, or metrology processes preferred
- Ability to supervise quality assurance personnel and guide daily quality procedures
- Strong knowledge of Statistical Process Control, including performing and interpreting Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility (Gage R&R) studies and measurement system evaluations
- Familiarity with Six Sigma tools including Design of Experiments and data‑driven problem solving
- Working knowledge of APQP, FMEA, PPAP, and other core quality methodologies
- Proficiency with document and reporting software such as Google Workspace or Microsoft Office
- Capable of working independently and as a team member
- Strong work ethic and unwavering integrity
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a learning mindset
- Curiosity, problem solving, and analytical thinking
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Desire to work on a variety of projects
