Role description: With AMP8 in mind, we are actively recruiting for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our MEICA team. You'll join a dedicated team of professionals where you'll contribute and apply your skills to stimulating projects in the clean water & wastewater sector, both regionally and across the UK. The role itself will sits within our Resilience Global Business Area. Role accountabilities: * Ability to self-start and work both independently and as a team member carrying out production and checking complex electrical detailed designs including calculations, specifications, reports, and drawings. * Supporting and / or Leading design and advisory services relating to new and existing water and wastewater process plants, pumping stations and ancillary assets. * Ensuring safety of yourself and others through design leadership and actions. * Technical delivery of multi-disciplinary projects, in a Design Lead capacity where assigned, using latest digital design techniques. * Identify and develop innovative and optimised technical solutions based on client needs and drivers * Lead and co-ordinate work with multi-disciplinary teams (e.g., process, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and ICA) * Establish and grow relationships with clients and capital alliance partners on project technical, commercial and progress matters * Ensuring projects meet required technical, legislative, quality, safety and environmental standards and objectives. * Mentoring and performance development responsibility for assigned staff * Capturing key project and technical knowledge, including innovations. * Promote MEICA team capability and achievements both internally and externally. Qualifications & Experience: * Degree in Electrical Engineering or other directly related degree * Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status and membership of a professional institution such as IET, InstMC or CIWEM or working towards and nearing application. * Significant experience and track record in technical delivery of process plant systems on complex water industry engineering projects preferably related to water and wastewater industry. * Experience of working on design and construct projects using digital design * Technical / Discipline Team leader with collaborative behaviours * Feasibility to detailed design stage delivery experience Why Arcadis?
