Position Overview
St. Barnabas Catholic School is seeking a passionate and dedicated 7th/8th grade teacher to join our school community. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing, engaging classroom environment that supports academic excellence, faith formation, and the development of the whole child.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality instruction aligned to curriculum standards
- Foster a positive, structured classroom environment rooted in respect and high expectations
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students
- Use data to inform instruction and support student growth
- Integrate Catholic values and faith into daily instruction and classroom culture
- Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress and classroom updates
- Collaborate with colleagues through PLCs and team planning
- Participate in school events, faith formation activities, and professional development
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
- Valid Indiana teaching license (or ability to obtain)
- Commitment to Catholic education and values
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and staff
