Applications Developer - III - ESW03 - Open

Argo Cyber is supporting a U.S. Government customer on a large mission critical development and sustainment program to design, build, deliver, and operate a network operations environment, including introducing new cyber capabilities to address emerging threats. Argo Cyber is seeking a Full Stack Developer to support the design, development, and deployment of advanced cybersecurity capabilities. The Full Stack Developer will play a pivotal role in our organization's technology team.

Responsibilities:
• Full Stack Development
o Develop, maintain, and enhance front-end and back-end components of web applications.
o Automated testing and smoke testing familiarity and implementation experience.
o Perform unit and integration testing to ensure software quality.
o Optimize application for speed and scalability.
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and refine software requirements.
o Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
o Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues.
o Handle authentication, authorization, and session management.
o Integrate with third-party services (e.g., payment processors, external APIs).

• DevOps and Deployment
o Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines.
o Deploy applications to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
o Monitor application performance and reliability.
o Handle version control using Git and platforms like GitHub/GitLab.

• Collaboration and Documentation
o Collaborate with DevOps, infrastructure, and development teams to ensure seamless integration.
o Document code and infrastructure changes, processes, and best practices.
o Participate in knowledge sharing and mentorship of team members.
o Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies.

• Cybersecurity – Secure Coding Practices
o Create secure code according to industry best practices.
o Use strong encryption algorithms for data in motion and data at rest.
o Manage and handle credentials and secrets in a secure, authorized manner.
o Use correct error handling and logging within developed code.

Required Skills:
• U.S. Citizenship
• Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance within 1 year
• Must be able to obtain DHS Suitability
• 8+ years of directly relevant software development experience required.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, and NodeJS.
• Strong knowledge of front-end and back-end frameworks.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
• Demonstrated experience and/or familiarity with one of more of the following: SQL, Oracle, MySQL, JBDC, etc.
• Demonstrated experience and/or familiarity with one of more of the following: Pytest, Jupyter, Java Spring, JUnit, Hibernate, JavaScript, ReactJs, etc.
• Experience leading multiple software development teams.
• Experience developing system performance, availability, scalability, manageability, and security requirements for mid- to large-scale programs.
• Experience with cloud computing, multimedia storage, knowledge databases and data-mining analytics.
• Agile development methodology experience required.
• Experience with Linux and/or Unix.
• Experience with Jenkins and/or CloudBees.

Desired Certifications:
• DoDM 8140.03 DCWF Information Systems Security Developer (631), CSSLP, CISSP
• Software development methodology certification (e.g. SCRUM Master) highly desired.

Required Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline is required.
