• →Assess patients with a variety of needs. Use a person-centered care approach in the development of care, and effectively prioritize patient needs that are both expected and unanticipated.
• →Demonstrate strong communication skills to interact with other health care professional and patients.
• →Demonstrate competence and resourcefulness in the implementation of the technical skills required to care for the patient. Demonstrates initiative in remaining current in the organization and department policies, procedures, and standards.
• →Evaluates effectiveness of care giving, shows follow through on delivery, demonstrates critical thinking skills by making appropriate clinical decisions, proactively addresses actual and potential problems, and executing compliant clinical documentation.
• →Assist with educating patients and families and serves as a resource on department standards for patient care.
• →This is a full-time position that includes weekend and holiday rotation.

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program and eligible to obtain a New York State limited permit
• Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility for licensure

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred, not required
• Minimum of one year of nursing experience preferred

• Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications before completion of the introductory period.

• Repetitive use of hands and fingers (e.g., Use of computer keyboard); may require lifting and carrying light loads (up to 40 lbs), including boxes, equipment, IV solutions and stooping and kneeling (e.g., to pick up items from the floor, to remove and replace items on lower shelves and to file documents in lower file drawers); sitting, walking, or standing for long periods of time may be necessary; must be able physically to operate the equipment used for the job.

• Full time either Day/Evening or Evening Night Shifts
• 12 hours shift with weekend and holiday rotation required

• $43.70-$53.20 per hour
