We are looking for an experienced Site Maintenance Manager to lead our Maintenance and Facilities functions within a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment. Reporting to the Head of Maintenance & Current Engineering, you will be responsible for ensuring plant, equipment and site infrastructure operate safely, reliably and efficiently to support business performance.

You will provide leadership across a multi-skilled team, driving a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and operational excellence within a 24/7 manufacturing operation. This is a highly visible role that combines strategic planning with hands-on leadership, helping to improve equipment reliability, maintenance performance and site compliance while supporting production, quality and safety objectives.

You will lead and develop the Maintenance and Facilities teams, providing clear direction to supervisors, engineers and support functions while ensuring a high-performance culture across the department. The role carries overall responsibility for the reliability and availability of plant, equipment, buildings and site services, ensuring breakdowns are effectively managed and permanent corrective actions are implemented.

You will oversee preventative and predictive maintenance strategies, manage maintenance performance through key operational KPIs, and ensure the effective use of the CMMS system to support planning and asset management. In addition, you will manage facilities, contractors, budgets and capital projects, while working closely with Production, Engineering and Quality teams to improve equipment performance, increase operational efficiency and deliver continuous improvement initiatives across the site.

You will bring proven experience leading a maintenance function within a high-volume manufacturing environment, ideally within the automotive sector. A strong people leader, you will have a track record of developing teams, manage performance and create a culture focused on reliability, safety and continuous improvement. You will possess strong electro-mechanical engineering knowledge and experience working with automated manufacturing equipment, alongside a solid understanding of preventative maintenance, root cause analysis and maintenance performance management.

We are looking for someone who is confident making decisions in demanding operational environments, communicates effectively with stakeholders at all levels, and can balance day-to-day priorities with longer-term strategic improvements. An engineering qualification at HNC, HND or degree level is desirable, while a NEBOSH or equivalent health and safety qualification would be advantageous.

We are always keen to support the development and progression of our existing employees. To help ensure a smooth process end-to-end, please make your line manager aware of any roles you apply for internally. In any case, line management will be informed by HR/Recruitment as part of the recruitment process, so early discussion is encouraged wherever possible.
