Position Overview

The Medical Assistant (Float) plays a vital role in supporting multiple physician clinic locations, serving as a key link between patients and providers. This position delivers high-quality clinical and administrative support while ensuring a seamless and positive patient experience.

Position Details

• Employment Type: Full-Time
• Department: Physician Clinics (Float Position)
• Schedule: General office hours; days vary
• Travel: No external travel required (float between clinics)
• Supervisory Responsibilities: None
• Compensation: Commensurate with experience
• Incentive: Commitment bonus up to $5,000

Key Responsibilities

• Obtain and accurately document vital signs and patient information
• Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during visits and procedures
• Perform phlebotomy and collect, label, and process specimens
• Coordinate patient flow to ensure efficient clinic operations
• Maintain exam rooms and clinical areas in a clean and organized manner
• Communicate effectively with patients and care teams, both in person and via telephone
• Provide patient education as appropriate
• Support multiple clinic locations as part of the float team
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to all regulatory and organizational standards

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: Completion of a Medical Assistant training program preferred
• Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – required

Employment Requirements

• Compliance with all hospital policies, including vaccination requirements (approved exemptions considered)
