This role is a strong opportunity to launch and grow your HR career in a global, fast‑moving organization. As a Specialist, People Partner, you will gain broad, hands‑on experience across HR operations—supporting employees, leaders, and key people processes that keep ASM thriving. Working closely with experienced People Partners and international colleagues, you will develop foundational HR skills while helping create an environment where people feel supported, included, and empowered to do their best work.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Serve as a key point of contact for employees and front‑line leaders, responding to HR questions with clarity, professionalism, and care.
- →Support a wide range of HR activities, including onboarding, employee relations, performance management, internal mobility, immigration coordination, training, and compliance administration.
- →Partner with Senior People Partners and legal teams on sensitive or complex employee matters, including investigations and performance improvement processes.
- →Help develop, maintain, and implement HR policies and procedures that promote compliance and reinforce ASM’s culture.
- →Identify trends, recommend process improvements, and provide data insights that support strategic People initiatives.
- →Contribute to organizational health, engagement, and change management efforts across the region.
- →Collaborate with global HR colleagues on projects that strengthen our “One ASM” culture.
- →Assist in planning and supporting employee events and activities that foster a sense of community and belonging.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field.
- Internship, co‑op, academic project work, or up to 2 years of HR or HR‑related experience.
- Familiarity with HR concepts, processes, or HR systems (coursework welcome).
- Basic understanding of U.S. employment law (academic or practical experience).
- Strong problem‑solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and sound judgment.
- A collaborative mindset with a desire to learn, grow, and support others.
- Experience with or exposure to U.S. immigration processes.
- Experience working with HRIS platforms.
- SHRM or similar HR certification (completed or in progress).
- Experience supporting teams, student organizations, or campus groups.
- Experience working in a multicultural or global environment.
