Compensation for onsite WA applicants is $90,000 - $120,000. All applicants are welcome to apply.

This position is ideal for an experienced Senior HR Generalist or HR Manager who is ready to influence/coach managers and own HR initiatives. This position does not have any direct reports.

What will I be doing?
  • Act as a trusted advisor to managers on employee relations, performance management, organizational design, and team effectiveness
  • Coach leaders to build capability, address issues proactively, and navigate complex people situations
  • Translate business needs into people solutions aligned with company values and strategy
  • Lead and execute core HR processes including payroll, recruiting, performance cycles, compensation planning, engagement initiatives, and employee lifecycle events
  • Partner with the Director of HR on workforce planning, hiring strategy, and onboarding effectiveness
  • Ensure consistent, fair, and compliant application of HR policies and practices
  • Manage employee relations matters including investigations, performance improvement plans, and corrective actions
  • Maintain strong knowledge of employment laws and ensure compliance across HR practices
  • Identify trends and recommend preventative actions to improve employee experience and reduce risk
  • Support organizational changes such as growth, restructuring, management transitions, and process improvements
  • Reinforce AST’s culture and values through HR programs, communication, and leader behavior
  • Analyze HR data and employee feedback to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, clarity, and manager self-sufficiency
What experience is AST looking for?
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • 4+ years of progressive HR experience in a generalist or manager capacity
  • Demonstrated experience coaching managers and handling complex employee relations matters
  • Strong working knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
  • Proven ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
  • Excellent communication, judgment, and relationship-building skills
  • Experience supporting fast-growing or changing organizations
  • Exposure to compensation, performance management, or organizational development work
  • Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. Experience with Paycom or any HRIS system is a plus 
  • SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP, PHR/SPHR, or equivalent certification preferred
  • Experience using strengths-based or values-driven leadership frameworks preferred (ex: CliftonStrengths)
