Responsibilities
~4 min read- →Maintain all security documentation and files in accordance with Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) requirements.
- →Maintain Facility Security Clearance (FCL) documentation and submission in accordance with DCSA requirements.
- →Maintain DD-254s including compiling and disseminating sub-DD254s.
- →Manage and maintain documentation to include Standard Practice Procedures (SPP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Emergency Action Plans
- →Obtain rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies
- →Provide and document new employee security briefings, exit interviews and debriefing, investigate and report security violations and incidents.
- →Maintain classified holdings and prepare classified transmittals in accordance with NISPOM guidelines and requirements.
- →Participate and oversee annual refresher training to include preparing necessary documentation in support of the DCSA Security Vulnerability Assessments.
- →Partners with internal and external clients to identify and address escalated contractual, personnel, facility and information security issues in accordance with the NISPOM
- →Provide security support to Human Resources, Contracts, and Proposal teams.
- →Advise personnel of their reporting requirements, both personal/administrative and compliance/incident-related reports.
- →Interpret government policies for the development and implementation of security plans and procedures.
- →Experience with the classification management process and classification guides associated with DoD and IC information.
- →Ability to create and use Security Classification Guides
- →Maintain a working relationship with DCSA or other Federal Agencies and each contract's security office.
- →Develop and maintain effective “Document Inventory and Control Program” for management of classified systems, media and documents.
- →Participate in the development and execution of security education programs.
- →Perform daily security activities and enforce government and company security policies.
- →Experience with AFRL and NASIC contracts and programmatic support
This position requires access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”). In order to comply with the requirements of the ITAR and/or the EAR, applicants must qualify as a U.S. person under the ITAR and the EAR, or a person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction. Please understand that any job offer that requires approval of an export license will be conditional on AeroVironment’s determination that it will be able to obtain an export license in a time frame consistent with AeroVironment’s business requirements. A “U.S. person” according to the ITAR definition is a U.S. citizen, U.S. lawful permanent resident (green card holder), or protected individual such as a refugee or asylee. See 22 CFR § 120.15. Some positions will require current U.S. Citizenship due to contract requirements.
