Your Role:
The Reliability Maintenance Engineer is responsible for improving asset reliability, equipment uptime, and maintenance effectiveness across the facility. This role develops and implements reliability-centered maintenance strategies, analyzes equipment failures, identifies root causes, and leads continuous improvement initiatives to optimize equipment performance, reduce downtime, and lower maintenance costs. The Reliability Maintenance Engineer partners closely with Facilities, Project Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and EHS teams to ensure assets operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable regulations and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Reliability Program Management
- Develop, implement, and maintain site reliability and asset management programs.
- Establish preventive maintenance (PM), predictive maintenance (PdM), and condition-based monitoring strategies for critical equipment.
- Create and maintain asset criticality assessments and reliability plans.
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment availability, maintainability, and lifecycle performance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing unplanned downtime and maintenance costs.
Equipment Performance & Failure Analysis
- Monitor equipment reliability metrics and identify adverse trends.
- Lead root cause failure analyses (RCFA) for equipment failures and recurring maintenance issues.
- Conduct failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) studies.
- Develop corrective action plans and ensure sustainable implementation.
- Generate reliability reports and present findings to management and stakeholders.
Maintenance Optimization
- Evaluate PM effectiveness and optimize maintenance frequencies based on equipment performance data.
- Support development of maintenance standards, procedures, and work instructions.
- Collaborate with maintenance planners and supervisors to improve work management processes.
- Recommend equipment modifications and upgrades to improve reliability and maintainability.
- Identify opportunities to reduce spare parts consumption while maintaining operational readiness.
Predictive Maintenance Technologies
- Coordinate vibration analysis, infrared thermography, ultrasound inspection, oil analysis, and other predictive maintenance programs.
- Analyze predictive maintenance data and recommend proactive interventions.
- Establish equipment health monitoring programs for critical assets.
Capital Projects and Asset Lifecycle Management
- Provide reliability engineering support for capital projects and equipment installations.
- Participate in design reviews to ensure reliability, maintainability, and operational requirements are incorporated.
- Support commissioning, qualification, and startup activities for new equipment.
- Develop lifecycle replacement strategies and long-range asset management plans.
Preventative Maintenance for Production Equipment
- Support and optimize preventive maintenance programs for production equipment to improve reliability and uptime.
- Assist with the execution and continuous improvement of preventive maintenance activities.
- Coordinate maintenance activities with equipment vendors and service providers.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of maintenance service agreements and recommend improvements as needed.
Compliance, Safety, and Quality
- Ensure maintenance and reliability programs comply with applicable regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry standards.
- Support audits, inspections, and quality investigations as required.
- Promote safe work practices and ensure compliance with EHS requirements.
- Participate in risk assessments and management of change (MOC) activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Reliability Engineering, or related technical discipline.
- Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE), Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP), or similar certification preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in maintenance, reliability engineering, facilities engineering, manufacturing engineering, or related technical field.
- Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, manufacturing, chemical processing, or regulated industries preferred.
- Experience with CMMS systems such as BM-RAM, Maximo, SAP, eMaint, or equivalent.
- Experience conducting failure investigations, reliability studies, and maintenance optimization initiatives.
- Experience working in GMP-regulated pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or similar manufacturing environments.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This role is a full-time onsite position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday unless otherwise stated by Supervisor. The employee must also have the ability to work overtime and/or weekends when necessary.
Compensation:
We offer competitive compensation packages for this role, including a base salary, performance-based bonuses, and comprehensive benefits such as health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
The compensation range for this role is $98,000 - $122,000 annually depending on experience and qualifications. Additionally, we offer opportunities for career growth and development as well as a supportive and inclusive work environment.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:
In this dynamic role, expect a blend of regular activities like sitting, standing, and walking, with occasional physically engaging tasks such as lifting objects up to 25 pounds.
