This full-time opportunity offers the chance to contribute to a growing architecture practice with exposure to a wide variety of meaningful project types, including local government, education, healthcare, and complex facility environments. The role is based in Birmingham, Alabama, with potential travel to project sites as needed. You will work alongside experienced architects, designers, consultants, and technical professionals while continuing to grow your project delivery, client interaction, and leadership capabilities.
- Support the technical execution and delivery of architectural projects from early planning through design, documentation, and construction support.
- Contribute to multi-disciplinary project teams working across multiple offices and project types.
- Prepare complete architectural project documents, including drawings, specifications, and project manual materials.
- Design and detail full projects, building systems, components, and technical processes with accuracy and quality.
- Coordinate detailed aspects of architectural work, including scopes, budgets, schedules, and assignments.
- Participate in project meetings and present specific areas of architectural work to clients, consultants, officials, contractors, and internal teams.
- Balance multiple moderate-sized projects or portions of larger projects while maintaining deadlines and quality standards.
- Demonstrate sound judgment, organization, communication, and continuous improvement in day-to-day project execution.
- 5+ years of relevant architectural experience.
- Bachelor of Architecture from an accredited architectural program.
- Registered Architect or completion of the NCARB program required.
- Proficiency in Revit Architecture required.
- Experience with complementary design tools strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of the full architectural project lifecycle, including development/scoping, design, documentation, and construction.
- Ability to prepare complete project documents, including specifications and project manuals.
- Broad knowledge of architectural principles, practices, detailing, and technical execution.
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively on multi-disciplinary teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, adapt to changing needs, and meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Self-starter with sound decision-making, time management, delegation, and client relationship skills.
