BakerHicks continues to support some of the UK's most complex and high-profile energy infrastructure projects. As our High Voltage team continues to grow, we are looking for a Senior Revit Technician to join our multidisciplinary engineering team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Revit professional to play a key role in the delivery of major High Voltage and Transmission & Distribution projects, supporting the UK's transition to a more sustainable energy future.
Reporting into the High Voltage CAD and Design team, you will be responsible for developing, coordinating and maintaining high-quality 3D models and engineering drawings, ensuring projects are delivered in line with BakerHicks and client BIM standards.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Develop and maintain coordinated 3D Revit models for High Voltage engineering projects.
- →Produce high-quality 2D drawings and documentation derived from Revit models.
- →Support engineers and designers in developing engineering layouts and design information.
- →Coordinate Revit models and design information across multiple engineering disciplines.
- →Identify and assist in resolving model and drawing coordination issues.
- →Produce and maintain drawings using AutoCAD where required.
- →Work in accordance with BakerHicks CAD, BIM and document control standards.
- →Follow project-specific CAD/BIM standards and client requirements.
- →Support the implementation of BIM and digital delivery processes within the High Voltage team.
- →Maintain accurate model and drawing information throughout the project lifecycle.
- →Participate in model reviews, design coordination meetings and project reviews where required.
- →Work collaboratively with CAD Technicians, Engineers, Designers and Project Managers across multidisciplinary teams.
- →Contribute to the continued development of Revit capability, standards and best practice within the High Voltage CAD team.
The successful candidate will have proven experience working within a design and engineering environment, with strong Revit modelling skills and a collaborative approach to project delivery.
You will ideally have:
- Extensive experience using Autodesk Revit in an engineering environment.
- Good working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Experience producing detailed engineering drawings and coordinated BIM models.
- Knowledge of BIM processes, standards and best practices.
- Experience working on infrastructure, power, utilities, energy or industrial projects.
- Strong communication and coordination skills with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
- A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
- Experience within High Voltage, Transmission & Distribution or related sectors would be advantageous.
- You will form part of a team that is a trusted partner for some of the UK's key clients, delivering detailed and complex turnkey designs
- You will work on flagship, high-profile projects - some of the most exciting in the UK with the ability to see your projects come to life through the full design lifecycle
- You will be joining a diverse, established team with a varied background of skills and expertise, who value new ideas and welcome innovative solutions. You are encouraged to take ownership and have freedom in decision-making
- Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team you will have links into the wider network of engineers within the business to learn and grow

The successful candidate must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate level of security clearance or assurance level for this role, in line with client and sector requirements.
In some cases, additional nationality or residency criteria may also apply due to specific client or national security obligations.
