Base Pay Range: $74-$115K per year

The Production Planner will work with plant leadership to meet daily production requirements, track inventory, and support production needs and improvement goals. This role owns planning activities for assigned product lines or operational areas, supports production scheduling and material flow, and drives resolution of issues that impact delivery, inventory, and operational performance.

This position reports to the Planning Manager and is expected in the office.

According to the FLSA (Fair Labor Standards Act), this position is classified as:

Responsibilities

This role is well-suited for someone who thrives in both independent and collaborative environments, stays organized, and enjoys contributing to cross-functional outcomes. Key responsibilities include:

· Own backlog management, ATPs, fill rate, and inventory flow for assigned product lines or operational areas

· Develop, maintain, and adjust daily and weekly production schedules to meet customer demand and operational goals

· Create, release, prioritize, and update work orders within the ERP system

· Monitor production progress and revise schedules to support accurate completion dates and on-time delivery

· Identify and communicate production bottlenecks, capacity constraints, and material shortages, and drive timely resolution

· Ensure availability of raw materials and maintain optimal inventory levels to support production while minimizing excess and obsolescence

· Partner cross-functionally with buyers, operations, warehouse, manufacturing, purchasing, supply chain, and customer service teams to support production planning and operational execution

· Track and respond to order status inquiries, including expedited requests and delivery timelines

· Maintain and manage inventory accuracy, including prototype materials, inventory adjustments, and engineering change implementation (ECOs)

· Use planning systems, reporting tools, and operational data to identify issues and support operational decision-making

· Balance production demand, inventory constraints, and operational priorities to support customer delivery needs

· Lead investigation and resolution of production, inventory, and material flow issues impacting operational performance

· Identify root causes and implement corrective actions to improve planning effectiveness and operational stability

· Analyze key performance metrics including backlog, on-time delivery, throughput, schedule attainment, and inventory support to identify trends and drive improvements

· Drive process improvements related to planning, scheduling, and inventory flow within assigned operational areas

· Provide guidance and support related to planning processes, procedures, and operational expectations

· Promote collaboration between planning, warehouse, manufacturing, and purchasing functions to improve workflow and resolve issues

· Support operational change initiatives and help align cross-functional teams during implementation

· Communicate operational priorities, schedule updates, risks, and recommendations clearly to plant leadership and business partners

· Model integrity, accountability, and reliability in daily work

· Follow safety, quality, and compliance requirements and support audit readiness

· Perform other duties as assigned

· High school diploma or equivalent

· 3+ years of Production Planning Experience or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business or related field

· Strong Excel and ERP system experience

o Preferred experience utilizing Oracle

o Excellent analytical and communication skills
