Registered Nurse, Transitional Emergency Care RN Residency for Experienced RNs at Homestead Hospital

The Fall 2026 Emergency Care Transitional RN Residency for experienced RNs is now accepting applications. If offered, the program will begin on November 16, 2026. This position is for experienced RN's wanting to go into an Emergency Care with a minimum of 1 year of RN experience in an acute care hospital setting.

The Registered Nurse is a licensed professional able to demonstrate the following core competencies:  assessment, technical skills, communication, critical thinking, interpersonal skills, planning, intervention, evaluation, flexibility, organizational skills, professional accountability, leadership and service.  This course is designed to provide nurses with theoretical knowledge needed to provide holistic family-centered care to patients and family members and is targeted toward registered nurses who are new to emergency care nursing.

• Have a Current FL RN License
• Have a current BLS for Healthcare Provider card 
• Have 1 year of current RN experience in a hospital setting (required)
• Complete Transfer Acknowledgement Form in the Employee Self Service.   

• Copy of Nursing Diploma or Unofficial Transcript indicating the nursing degree awarded
• Copy of FL RN license
• Copy of BLS for Healthcare Provider card issued by BHSF.
