The Electrical Designer will provide sustaining facilities electrical engineering design support for our clients’ site electrical distribution systems.

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) or Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering

Responsibilities

Develop electrical designs for manufacturing power distribution and lighting systems.

Collaborate with architects, engineers and contractors on new construction/renovation projects.

Review electrical design specifications and drawings.
→
Designing low & medium-voltage electrical distribution systems. To include MCC's, generators, transformers, low voltage substations, UPS.

Review cost estimates and budgets.
→
Work on multiple projects.
→
Maintain current NEC codes knowledge.
→
Read and interpret design drawings and specifications.

Requirements

4+ years experience in areas such as low and medium voltage power, easy power, load flow analysis, and electrical engineering drawings in a manufacturing environment.
Design of Electrical Power layouts, Lighting layouts, wiring diagrams, cable trays and Electrical location layouts in REVIT.
Experience with Mechanical, Electrical and Process (MEP) engineers and technicians.
Experience with multi-discipline large capital projects involving Owners, General Contractors, Contractors, and System Integrators.
Good Understanding of Design/Build (Engineering and Construction).
Familiar with facilities document control systems.
Experience with electrical as-built drawings that are incorporated into master CAD drawings
Experience reviewing and updating electrical system models.
Experience with project closeout: reviewing construction specifications, as-builts, O&M manuals, and submittals.
Experience using Revit and AutoCAD software to create design drawings and 3D models.
Proficient with written and verbal technical communication including generating reports and conducting group presentations.
