Responsibilities
~1 min readThe Founding Special Education & Life Skills Teacher will be responsible for overseeing and delivering instructional services aligned with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities. This includes providing direct special education services, collaborating with general education teachers and service providers, and ensuring compliance with federal and state special education requirements. Requirements

A minimum of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. A Master's degree is highly desirable.
- Valid Texas Special Education certification.
- Fingerprint clearance per Texas state regulations.
- Eligible for hire in Texas Public Schools.

Exceptional classroom management skills and an ability to create an organized, highly focused, and positive learning environment.

Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

A collaborative spirit and a commitment to working as part of a dynamic, founding team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field.
- 1+ years of experience in a special education setting.
- Certification in CPI or TACT-2 for crisis intervention.
- Familiarity with IEP management systems (e.g., ESPED).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and student data systems.
