Under the general direction of the Senior Manager of Elite Athlete Strategy and Relations, this role is responsible for managing and servicing relationships with Elite Women Athletes, including professional athletes and teams within the PWHL, National Teams, NCAA programs, and key emerging prospects. The position serves as the primary sales and relationship lead for assigned athletes and teams, working closely with players, coaching and equipment staff, agents, and team personnel to support product needs, contract execution, and athlete servicing initiatives. Responsibilities include cultivating long-term relationships with current and future talent, coordinating with agents on athlete agreements and deliverables, and managing team expectations to ensure accurate and on-time product delivery. Preferred location is the Greater Toronto Area. 

Responsibilities

  • Manage relationships with elite and professional female athletes, teams, and team personnel, ensuring best-in-class product servicing and support experiences.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for PWHL teams, league representatives, and internal Bauer marketing initiatives related to the women’s game.
  • Support Elite Athlete Service Representatives in the field across NHL, CHL, NCAA Women’s Hockey, and other elite hockey environments as needed.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships directly with professional athletes and emerging prospects, as well as through agents, advisors, and family representatives.
  • Assist in executing athlete prospecting strategies by identifying and recruiting top women’s hockey prospects who align with Bauer’s performance standards, brand values, and culture.
  • Identify and execute opportunities related to athlete partnerships, including Women’s Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) initiatives and endorsement opportunities.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the hockey landscape across the NHL, PWHL, AHL, NCAA, CHL, and other elite amateur and professional leagues.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Brand, Custom, Sales, and Marketing teams by providing athlete insights, product performance feedback, and recommendations to support current and future product innovation and marketing initiatives.
  • Develop and execute territory and league-specific servicing strategies to achieve business objectives while effectively managing customer expectations and service deliverables.
  • Create and manage business plans for assigned territories and leagues, including marketing asset planning, budgeting, forecasting, presentation development, and partnership negotiations.
  • Plan, forecast, and prepare product samples, fitting tools, and servicing materials required to support product launches, athlete fittings, and marketing objectives.
  • Lead and execute athlete and team product fittings, with a focus on driving education, trial, and adoption of Bauer’s Women’s protective equipment line and future product innovations.
  • Travel extensively throughout assigned territories to support athlete relationships, team visits, product fittings, league events, tournaments, and servicing opportunities.

Requirements

  • BS or BA in Communication, Sports Management, or related field- or equivalent years of relevant and related experience.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in communications/outside sales.
  • Required to work irregular hours, including weekends.
  • Strong communication skills. (both written and verbal)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Understands dynamics of professional and elite amateur hockey.
  • Ability to adapt to changing environment and emotion of hockey.
  • Extensive product knowledge.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing business landscape.

 

Pay Range: $80k- $90k CAD
