Buckland is looking for a Quality Assurance Specialist What you’ll be doing This role is responsible for ensuring QA best practices, processes, and workflows are in line with the department expectations and goals. They will apply proven analytical and problem-solving skills to help validate IT processes through careful testing to maximize the benefit of business investments in IT initiatives. The Quality Assurance Specialist will work collaboratively with the Team Leaders, Business Analysts and Software Developers where and when needed. What we can offer you Competitive salary, benefits package, and matching retirement plan Compensation range in Canada: $60.000 – $90,000 annually (subject to experience) A friendly, collaborative work environment Opportunities for professional development & ongoing learning A chance to be part of a growing organization   You will be responsible for Assist in managing, creating, and overseeing quality assurance practices and processes Build and maintain quality standards in close collaboration with Application Developers & Business Analysts Design and execute detailed test cases (both manual and automated) and testing tasks to verify compliance of internal quality standards Conduct various types of application testing as needed, but not limited to system, smoke, and regression testing Initiate, investigate, and participate in corrective and preventative action Practice continuous integration, continuous delivery, Test Driven Development (TDD) and Behaviour Driven Development (BDD) Good written and verbal communication skills. Apply your skills with Microsoft utilizing programs such as Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook. Demonstrate your meticulous attention to detail by ensuring accuracy and decision making. Driven by results working in a fast-paced environment. Maintain a well-organized calendar to balance meetings, tasks, and future initiatives. Provide exceptional customer support by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly and effectively.   Leadership Responsibilities N/A   What we need from you Computer Science degree or Information Technology diploma or equivalent education. 2+ years of relevant work experience in quality assurance, application testing, or in an agile software development environment.  Familiarity with QA tools and techniques and bug-tracking systems. Familiarity with modern web languages (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, etc.). Familiarity with C# & ASP.NET technologies. Frequent use of different test case methods – user stores, acceptance criteria, actual result vs. expected result, BDD style plans etc. Experience writing formal test plans and test cases with strong knowledge of systems testing and best practices and methodologies. Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Must be legally eligible to work for the Company at all times. Fluency in Spanish is considered an asset. Valid Passport and ability and desire to occasionally travel if required to other offices locations in CAD/USA/MEX
