The Organization:
Brushy Creek Municipal Utility District is home to 18,000+ residents. Formed initially as Williamson County Municipal Utility District No. 2 in 1977, BCMUD provides water and wastewater services, recreational activities, beautiful gardens, parks, and miles of trails through the Brushy Creek community. BCMUD operates four swimming pools, four tennis courts, and a disc golf course throughout the community.
At the heart of our District is the Brushy Creek Community Center. Our Community Center features two gyms, two racketball courts, weight room, rock wall, and recreational programming, including various fun activities, educational and fitness classes.
Brushy Creek employs approximately 190 seasonal, part-time, and full-time team members.
Property Maintenance Technician:
Brushy Creek MUD is seeking a dedicated and motivated Parks Maintenance Technician to help maintain and enhance the District's parks, trails, recreational facilities, and open spaces. This position performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled maintenance tasks involving landscaping, groundskeeping, tree care, turf management, playgrounds, sports fields and courts, park amenities, and facility upkeep. The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in creating safe and attractive public spaces, and is committed to delivering exceptional service that promotes the Brushy Creek Life and enriches the quality of life for our residents and visitors.
Essential Job Functions:
- Grounds Landscaping: Maintains parks, open space areas and lawns; De-weeds plant beds and grounds; Maintains and replaces landscape beds; Inspects and repairs irrigation.
- Courts and Appurtenances: Regularly monitors, cleans and maintains courts and appurtenances.
- Hike and Bike Trails Maintenance: Regularly monitors, cleans, repairs, and maintains the District's hike and bike trails.
- Drinking Fountains, Restrooms and Pavilions: Inspects, cleans, and performs routine maintenance of drinking fountains and restrooms; Power washes pavilions.
- Outdoor Buildings or Structures, Tables and Slabs: Sweeps, cleans, paints and repairs buildings, structures, slabs and outdoor tables.
- Playground Equipment: Rakes mulch under equipment, inspects equipment using inspection document; Cleans, paints and repairs equipment.
- Tree Care: Trims, fertilizes, plants and stakes trees; Removes trimmings, cleans areas after tree care.
- On-call and Work Order Fulfillment: Performance on-going maintenance on recurring work orders and completes maintenance for one time work orders as requested.
- Event Support: Provides input on planning and executing events; Sets up and breaks down events; Works shifts for the events.
