ABOUT THIS ROLE


As a Project Coordinator, you’ll harness your organizational and problem-solving skills and leverage your expertise to play a pivotal role in driving projects forwards! You will provide essential support and coordination to project managers and teams throughout the project lifecycle. In other words, you’ll be there to ensure smooth project execution!


Your day-to-day will look like:


  • Support project managers by administrating correct job set up following company procedures
  • Work within the framework of the project management operations team
  • Manage all RFI’s, CCO’s, CO’s and record and update documents as required and issued
  • Collaborate with lead estimator to recognize project scopes coordinate with project manager in preparation of project hand over to operations team
  • Obtain material and subcontractor quotes, assist in all aspects of procurement and sub trade contract negotiations and secure accordingly to properly set up the project in advance of start.
  • Maintain a solid understanding of Excel, MS project, eSUB and any other company assigned software.
  • Attend site visits and meetings and keep meeting minutes updated accordingly
  • Read and understand contract documents and specifications
  • Write & submit RFIs with support of Project manager
  • Manage Microsoft project schedule monthly
  • Assist in month end billing process
  • Assist in month end forecasting process


You have the following qualifications, technical and interpersonal skills:


Qualifications:

  • Years of experience: 1+ years of experience in a Project Coordinator position or similar role.
  • Education: Batchelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred
  • Designations: None
  • Considered an asset:
    • Red Seal Certified Plumber, Gas Fitter, HVAC Technician 
    • Past construction experience
    • AutoCAD experience
    • BC Class 5 or 7 driver’s license
    • Owning a vehicle


Technical Skills:

  • Ability to interpret Mechanical drawings
  • Proficient in written and spoken English
  • Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Project
  • eSub/HCSS
  • Blue Beam
  • Plangrid
