Personal Care Attendants/Certified Nursing Assistant will assist residents who are functionally, physically, and or socially impaired and need assistance with supportive, nursing, and personal care. The PCA/CNA is responsible to assist tenants with those activities of daily living that they are unable to perform without help, fostering at all times residents' independence and freedom of choice.
- Assures the provision of high-quality services needed and/or desired by tenants and their families.
- Attains and/or maintains ongoing compliance with appropriate local, state, federal, regulatory, and/or accrediting body standards.
- Maintains high level of involvement/participation in all tenant activities. Provides Activity Coordinator and Director with ongoing feedback/suggestions regarding the activity program.
- Assists residents to self-administer medications under supervision of Registered Nurse and after completion of approved medication course.
- Provides assistance with activities of daily living for tenants
- Provides assistance with instrumental activities of daily living
- Conducts room checks and tenant rounds/checks and monitors for environmental and safety hazards.
- Records incidents, errors, and accidents. Reports such occurrences to Director within 1 hour.

Requirements
~1 min read- Completion of accredited CNA program
- Must have Current IL CNA certification
- Must have a valid driver's license
- CPR Certification within 3 months
- Must complete the required medication training course
- Maintains appropriate levels of confidentiality at all times.
- Works collaboratively with peers and all team members.
- Follows up promptly and thoroughly with appropriate staff, tenants, or other individuals regarding reported complaints, problems, and concerns.
