The Branch Operations Manager is the leader of all operational elements of a newly formed branch. Primary functions of scheduling crews, coordinating equipment allocations, materials, and logistics, maintaining production
standards, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to client expectations all fall
within this leadership positions’ scope.
The Operations Manager is responsible for leading day-to-day business operations, improving processes, and
ensuring teams, resources, and systems work together efficiently to achieve organizational goals. This role
drives operational excellence by managing performance, controlling costs, supporting cross-functional
coordination while promoting continuous improvement across the business. Preferred candidates will have years of management experience in green industry or service-based environments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily mulch installation operations across multiple job sites.
• Plan and coordinate crew schedules, truck routing, equipment allocation, and material deliveries to
maximize productivity.
• Ensure mulch is installed to specified depth, coverage, appearance, and site standards.
• Ensure pre-job and on-site inspections are completed to verify readiness, access, safety conditions,
and job scope requirements.
• Monitor labor hours, equipment utilization, and job progress to keep projects on schedule and within
budget.
• Maintain operational readiness of mulch blowing equipment, trucks, hoses, and support tools by
verifying inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Enforce safety procedures related to vehicle movement, hose handling, equipment operation, lifting,
heat exposure, and other job site hazards.
• Train and develop staff on installation quality, efficiency, equipment care, and customer service
standards.
• Track material usage, waste, and inventory levels to support accurate ordering, cost control, and job
profitability.
• Oversee daily operations to ensure efficiency, consistency, and alignment with business objectives.
• Develop, implement, and refine operational processes, policies, and standard procedures.
• Partner with department leaders to improve coordination, workflow, and service delivery.
