As an Entry-Level Civil Engineer (EI) in our Las Cruces Traffic and Drainage Engineering Group, you will work alongside industry experts to develop solutions for infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
~1 min readIn this role, you will contribute to:
- →Permitting & Regulatory Support – Assist with permitting processes and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.
- →Site & Infrastructure Design – Support grading, earthwork, roadway, and utility (water, wastewater, gas) design efforts.
- →Design Drafting & Technical Documentation – Prepare design drawings, maintain project records, and contribute to preliminary engineering reports.
- →GIS & Data Modeling – Develop and maintain GIS databases and perform computer-based engineering analyses.
- →Construction Cost Estimating – Contribute to accurate budgeting and cost estimation for engineering projects.
- →Construction Support – Participate in inspection duties to ensure quality and compliance during construction phases.
- Academic Excellence – You have graduated by May 2026 with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, and have at least a 3.0 GPA, and have shown a commitment to academic focus, leadership and delivering high quality solutions and products.
- Certification & Experience – You have earned your Engineer Intern (EI) certification or will be able to achieve your EI certification within 12 months of employment.
- Technical Proficiency – Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bluebeam Revu, ESRI ArcMap, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong Communication Skills – Ability to articulate technical concepts clearly in both written and verbal formats.
- Problem-Solving Mindset – A self-starter who is organized, detail-oriented, and eager to innovate.
