Agile Coach / Scrum Master (Agilist) – Insurance Domain Preferred

Overview

We are hiring a Scrum Master / Agile Coach (Agilist) with 5+ years of experience leading agile teams and driving delivery excellence in complex, enterprise environments.

This role focuses on coaching teams, enabling value-driven delivery, and advancing agile maturity across multiple teams. The ideal candidate combines servant leadership, strong facilitation skills, and pragmatic agile execution to improve flow, outcomes, and team performance.

What You’ll Do

Agile Coaching & Team Enablement

• Coach multiple agile teams to improve delivery, collaboration, and agile maturity
• Instill agile principles, mindset, and continuous improvement practices
• Enable teams to become self-organizing, accountable, and outcome-focused
• Drive retrospectives, feedback loops, and measurable improvements

Delivery Execution & Flow Optimization

• Facilitate core ceremonies: Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Reviews, Retrospectives
• Identify and remove impediments, risks, and delivery bottlenecks
• Improve team velocity, predictability, and flow of work
• Support dependency management and cross-team coordination

Value-Driven Product Delivery

• Partner with Product Owners to prioritize backlogs aligned to business value
• Coach teams on story slicing, backlog refinement, and outcome-based planning
• Ensure alignment to roadmaps, OKRs, and strategic goals
• Promote data-driven decision-making and value measurement

Agile Frameworks & Scaling

• Apply and adapt frameworks including Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, LeSS, XP, Scrum@Scale
• Tailor agile practices to team and organizational needs (pragmatic vs. rigid)
• Support scaled agile delivery across multiple teams or programs

Agile Transformation & Stakeholder Influence

• Assess and improve team and organizational agile maturity
• Influence leadership to remove silos and improve delivery flow
• Partner with stakeholders to drive alignment, transparency, and accountability
• Contribute to Agile CoPs and enterprise transformation initiatives

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or Agilist
• Experience supporting multiple agile teams in enterprise environments
• Strong expertise in Scrum, Kanban, and agile best practices
• Proven ability to improve delivery outcomes, team performance, and flow
• Excellent facilitation, coaching, and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Property & Casualty (P&C) or Life Insurance
• Background as a Developer, QA, BA, or Product Owner
• Agile certifications: CSM, PSM, SAFe Agilist, ICP-ACC, ICP-ATF
• Experience with scaled agile frameworks (SAFe, LeSS, Scrum@Scale)
• Knowledge of Lean, systems thinking, and change management
