Why Blue Coding?

At Blue Coding, we specialize in hiring excellent developers and amazing people from all over Latin America and other parts of the world. For the past 11 years, we’ve helped cutting-edge companies in the United States and Canada build great development teams and develop great products. Large multinationals, digital agencies, Saas providers, and software consulting firms are just a few of our clients. Our team of over 150 engineers, project managers, QA, UX/UI designers, and many more is distributed in more than 10 countries across the Americas. We are a fully remote company working with a wide array of technologies, and we have expertise in every stage of the software development process.

Our team is highly connected, united, and culturally diverse, and our collaborators are involved in many initiatives around the world, from wildlife preservation to volunteering at local charities. We stand for honesty, fairness, respect, efficiency, hard work, and cooperation.

We are looking for an experienced Automation Engineer to work with one of our US clients, a company undergoing an active digital transformation journey. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain scalable automation solutions using Microsoft Power Automate and the broader Power Platform, streamlining business processes and enabling greater operational efficiency across the organization.

If you are independent, a great communicator, a problem solver, and have strong attention to detail, this is a great fit for you! Our jobs are fully remote; as long as you have the skills and can get the work done well, you can work from anywhere in the listed countries.

About the Role

This role sits at the intersection of technical automation and business process redesign. You won’t just be building workflows, you’ll be analyzing existing processes, identifying automation opportunities, and partnering directly with stakeholders and product owners to deliver measurable improvements in cycle time, accuracy, and cost reduction.

The client operates in a regulated environment, so you’ll also be expected to apply governance best practices: security compliance, data privacy, monitoring, logging, and error-handling strategies. This is a high-impact, long-term engagement where your work will be visible across the organization.

  • Design, develop, and deploy automation workflows using Microsoft Power Automate, with a focus on desktop flows.
  • Build integrations between systems using APIs, connectors, and custom services.
  • Develop reusable automation components and frameworks to accelerate delivery.
  • Integrate Power Automate solutions with core business systems, databases, and third-party platforms.
  • Collaborate with engineering and data teams to ensure secure and reliable data exchange.
  • Support backend integrations using SQL, REST APIs, and other enterprise integration patterns.
  • Analyze existing business processes to identify automation opportunities and redesign them for efficiency and scalability.
  • Partner with stakeholders and product owners to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Deliver measurable improvements in cycle time, accuracy, and cost reduction.
  • Ensure compliance with security, data privacy, and enterprise architecture policies.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and error-handling strategies for automation solutions.

  • 3+ years of experience in automation engineering or workflow development.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Automate, particularly desktop flows.
  • Experience integrating applications via APIs, connectors, or middleware.
  • Strong understanding of data sources such as SQL databases and cloud services.
  • Experience with version control and deployment practices.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power BI) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Azure services (Logic Apps, Functions, Service Bus) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
  • Experience in financial services or insurance environments is a plus.
  • Exposure to data protection and compliance frameworks (e.g., DLP policies) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented, quality-focused mindset.
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
