💡 Role overview:

As Head of Engineering, you lead the development engine behind Bluestone PIM - an AI-native, composable platform. You are responsible for day-to-day software delivery in Gdańsk and Bangkok, translating product and architectural vision into high-quality releases.

You work closely with the Engineering and Product teams to drive sprint execution, maintain the technology stack, and ensure engineering and UI/UX teams are aligned and productive. Your goal is to maximize engineering's impact on product value and competitive advantage.

💻 Daily challenges:

• Lead our engineering teams with a primary focus on our Poland-based operations, while providing strategic oversight for our QA team located predominantly in Thailand.
• Driving our AI and agentic PIM vision forward - this is where our future lies, and you will play a central role in making sure the engineering organization is set up to deliver on it.
• Co-own and evolve the technology stack, and define testing and quality assurance processes across all releases.
• Guide team leads and developers on technical and architectural questions, ensuring roadmap and tech stack alignment.
• Drive improvements to development processes, monitoring, security, and overall engineering standards.
• Support and develop engineering team leads through regular feedback sessions, competence planning, and input on hiring and promotions.
• Manage resource planning and allocation across teams.
• Stay up to date with the PIM market and competitors, and propose improvements to UX, features, and API structure.

👏 What makes you a great fit:

• A degree in a technical field or proven experience as an Engineering Manager or Head of Engineering leading multiple teams in a SaaS product company.
• Strong technical background in modern software engineering; able to make credible decisions on architecture, tech stack, and code quality without being hands-on daily.
• Solid track record running agile delivery: backlog refinement, sprint cadence, release quality, and continuous improvement of development processes.
• Experience guiding and developing team leads: giving direct feedback, setting clear expectations, and growing people over time.
• Ability to contribute meaningfully to hiring decisions, competence planning, and salary reviews.
  
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, cloud-native infrastructure, and API-first, microservices architecture.
• Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to work across cultures in a Nordic-rooted, international organization.
• Experience with some of the following is considered a big plus: PIM or data management platforms, MACH architecture, AI/ML integration in SaaS products, agentic AI systems, microservices-based ecosystems, AWS or similar cloud platforms, and experience hiring and growing engineering teams in Poland.
