The main purpose of this role is to provide mechanical and electrical expertise for inspections, maintenance, and repair on all facility, utility, and process equipment at the various owned or leased GPDO GMP NJ sites in a safe and compliant manner in accordance to site cGMP policies and procedures. Role would include the operational oversite and maintenance of utility systems and select processing equipment.
Shift Available:
* Monday - Friday, Onsite Night Shift, 10 p.m. - 6:30 a.m.
Responsibilities:
* Working under minimal direction and guidance and be self-motivated, responsibilities shall include but not be limited to the following;
* Perform general and preventative maintenance.
* Respond to Customer requests in a professional and timely manner.
* Inspect, maintain, test, troubleshoot, adjust, repair and/or replace all related plumbing, mechanical, and electrical components (where applicable) on domestic water systems, commercial plumbing systems, laboratory gas and vacuum distribution systems, water purification systems, and selected processing equipment.
* Operational oversite and maintenance of all rotating equipment including Air Compressors, Vacuum Systems, Water Purification, Process Chillers, and Dust Collectors.
* Operational oversite and maintenance of environmentally controlled units including Refrigerators, Freezers, Incubators, Cryo Freezers, and Stability Chambers.
* Complete necessary paperwork, i.e, Log Books, Work Tickets, and all GMP Documentation in accordance with cGMP good documentation practices.
* Demonstrate skill and care in the use of all tools and materials used to complete your tasks.
* Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
* Train colleagues as necessary.
* Work with internal and external partners.
* Provide cGMP oversight of external vendors to ensure they are operating within the cGMP policies and procedures of the area.
* Provide assistance for team members during emergency’s, manpower shortages, or when technical assistance may be needed.
Knowledge & Skills:
* Expert knowledge of mechanical systems, plumbing, and codes.
* General electrical knowledge including VFD’s and control systems.
* Expert written and verbal communication skills.
* Outstanding customer service skills.
* Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
* Ability to solve basic and complex technical problems.
* Ability to meet schedules and timelines.
* Strong interpersonal skills.
* Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, drawings, schematics, specifications, and codes.
Minimum Requirements:
* High school diploma or GED. Associate's degree or Technical Diploma preferred.
* 7+ years of industrial plumbing/mechanical experience.
* GMP Facility experience.
Working Conditions:
* Work required in and mechanical spaces, laboratory and regulated environments.
* Working in and around confined spaces.
* Ability to lift greater than 50 lbs.
* Ability to perform on elevated work platforms and ladders.
* This position requires regular medical surveillance and may require incumbent to wear a respirator.
* Ability to work a minimum of a 40 hours work week.
* Ability to work on call for Emergency response, Overtime, and weekend shifts.
* Ability to work safely in an environment with hazardous materials, chemicals, and waste.
* Ability to work safely in an environment with exposure to high temperatures / pressure steam, compressed gasses, various noise levels, and high voltage energy supplies.
* Ability to sit, stand and move within workspace for extended periods.
* Occasional stooping, bending, stretching and lifting may be required.
* Ability to work safely in an environment with hazardous, radioactive, and infectious materials and waste.
* Ability to work safely in an environment with exposure to high temperature / pressure steam, and other fluids, compressed gasses, odors, various noise levels, moving parts, vibration, wet/slippery areas and high voltage energy supplies.
* Environment may include working at heights, in cold temperatures, and/or constricted spaces.
* Ability to work safely when working alone, or working with others.
* Ability to work within a GMP environment and properly gown according to room classifications and procedures.

Compensation Overview:
Summit West - NJ - US: $35.76 - $43.33per hour
The starting compensation range(s) for this role are listed above for a full-time employee (FTE) basis. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills, where the job is performed, the employee’s work schedule, job-related knowledge, and experience. Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.

Paid Time Off
* US Exempt Employees: flexible time off (unlimited, with manager approval, 11 paid national holidays (not applicable to employees in Phoenix, AZ, Puerto Rico or Rayzebio employees)
* Phoenix, AZ, Puerto Rico and Rayzebio Exempt, Non-Exempt, Hourly Employees: 160 hours annual paid vacation for new hires with manager approval, 11 national holidays, and 3 optional holidays
Based on eligibility*, additional time off for employees may include unlimited paid sick time, up to 2 paid volunteer days per year, summer hours flexibility, leaves of absence for medical, personal, parental, caregiver, bereavement, and military needs and an annual Global Shutdown between Christmas and New Years Day.
All global employees full and part-time who are actively employed at and paid directly by BMS at the end of the calendar year are eligible to take advantage of the Global Shutdown.
*Eligibility Disclosure: The summer hours program is for United States (U.S.) office-based employees due to the unique nature of their work. Summer hours are generally not available for field sales and manufacturing operations and may also be limited for the capability centers. Employees in remote-by-design or lab-based roles may be eligible for summer hours, depending on the nature of their work, and should discuss eligibility with their manager. Employees covered under a collective bargaining agreement should consult that document to determine if they are eligible. Contractors, leased workers and other service providers are not eligible to participate in the program.
