Canning Operator (2nd Shift, 3rd Shift)
Quick Summary
About Bobbie Bobbie is creating a parenting culture of confidence, not comparison. And it starts with how we choose to feed our babies. We crafted our European style infant formula with purposefully sourced, organic ingredients to give parents a product they are proud to feed their babies,…
You own the packaging line from setup to shutdown. Last stop before a can of Bobbie reaches a family. Fast-moving, hands-on, and mechanical — if the line goes down, you troubleshoot. If a can doesn't look right, you stop it.
Bobbie makes European-style organic infant formula manufactured end-to-end in the U.S., because we believe every parent deserves to feed their baby with confidence, without judgment and without compromise. No mystery ingredients. No shortcuts. Just clean, thoughtfully made formula that parents can trust.
But Bobbie has never been just a formula company. When the 2022 national infant formula shortage left parents across the country unable to feed their babies, we closed our storefront to new customers rather than leave a single existing family without formula. We went to Washington. We got loud. And we opened our Heath, Ohio manufacturing facility to make sure something like that could never happen again.
That's who we are, and that's what you'd be joining.
Our advocacy arm, Bobbie for Change, exists because making great formula isn't enough if the systems around parenthood are still broken. We fight for paid federal parental leave, push for legislation to prevent future formula shortages, advocate for feeding equity, and support families navigating impossible situations, including donating formula to parents impacted by breast and gynecologic cancers through the Bobbie Breasties program.
We're a company that genuinely believes becoming a parent makes you an activist. The people who work here feel that too.

- You like hands-on mechanical work and feel ownership over your equipment
- You stay focused and precise during fast, repetitive runs — not just at the start of the shift
- You have no manufacturing background but you're mechanical by nature, detail-oriented, and show up every day
- Loud — high-speed canning equipment runs continuously; hearing protection is required and provided
- Fast-paced — the line doesn't slow down; your focus needs to stay on for the full shift
- Physical — you'll regularly lift finished product cases and equipment components up to 60 lbs
- Clean but industrial — gowning requirements apply the moment you step on the floor
All three shifts are available. When you apply, rank your shift preference. We'll match you based on availability and what works for both of us. Being open to more than one shift means a faster offer.
- 2nd shift — afternoons/evenings, $2/hr more, good if you need mornings free
- 3rd shift — permanent overnight (not a rotation), $2/hr more, best if you naturally run on a night schedule

- On your feet 8–12 hours and lifting up to 60 lbs repeatedly — this is physically demanding work, every shift
- Comfortable following written SOPs and completing batch records accurately in real time
- Able to meet GMP requirements: hair net, no jewelry, no nail polish, no fragrances, dedicated footwear — every shift
- Manufacturing experience preferred (food, beverage, pharma, military, trades) — we will train the right person
We're a parent-founded company that makes organic infant formula in the US. We opened our Heath, Ohio facility because we believe families deserve to know who makes their baby's food and how. The people on our production floor are the reason every can meets the standard.
- Work that matters — you're making infant formula that families count on
- Competitive pay with shift differential on 2nd and 3rd shift
- We promote from within and invest in people who invest in us
