The University offers Campus Learning in Lesotho and other African countries. In addition, Botho University also offers Blended and Distance Learning programmes through the Online Learning Campus.
We are seeking an exceptional leader to serve as Deputy Pro Vice Chancellor – Lesotho Campus. The successful candidate will provide overall leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight to drive the continued growth and development of the University in Lesotho.
As a key member of the University’s Senior Management Team, the Deputy Pro Vice Chancellor will report directly to the Pro Vice Chancellor responsible for the campus, as well as to the Vice Chancellor.
Requirements
~1 min read- A Doctorate degree in a relevant field.
- Approximately 15 years’ experience, with a portion in a leadership role.
- Associate Professor/Professor designation will be an added advantage.
- Proven record of research and academic leadership, including experience as Dean and in curriculum development.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Provide strategic leadership in pursuit of the university vision and mission.
- →Provide effective guidance in academic and administrative leadership for the University community of staff and students.
- →Representing the University at all strategic stakeholder engagement, locally, regionally and internationally
- →Liaising and working with regulators and external stakeholders for the University at a local level.
- →Through appropriate structures, secure a financial base sufficient to allow the delivery of the University's mission, aims and objectives.
- →Review improvements in academic programs, budgets, and policies.
- →Cultivate and sustain positive relationships with other academic institutions, organizations/industry, and the broader community.
- →Ensure Institutional compliance to Quality Management System, Regulatory & Government statutory requirements.
- →Preparation, monitoring & control of campus budget
- →Ensure sound and effective Student & Alumni Services are in place.
- →Ensure campus governance structures are fully functioning.
- →Ensure effective marketing & recruitment of students.
