Lecturer

• A Master's degree in English Language, Communication Studies and Education.
• Minimum of three (3) years' relevant teaching experience, preferably in a Higher Education institution.
• Relevant experience in teaching, student guidance, curriculum delivery, assessment and academic support.
• Evidence of research activities, publications, journal papers, or other scholarly output will be an added advantage.

• Deliver high-quality teaching across relevant Education, English Language and Communication programmes and courses, ensuring effective student learning and engagement.
• Prepare adequately for classes and facilitate teaching and learning in accordance with University programmes, quality standards and approved curricula.
• Maintain accurate student and class records and monitor student progress, providing appropriate guidance on academic performance, career development, attendance and discipline.
• Contribute to curriculum planning, programme development, implementation and continuous improvement of teaching and learning practices.
• Participate in assessment, marking, moderation and other academic activities as assigned.
• Support the effective delivery of modules by coordinating with colleagues and ensuring that appropriate teaching and learning resources are available.
• Contribute to student satisfaction by responding appropriately to student needs, obtaining feedback and taking action to improve the quality of academic services.
• Participate actively in departmental and faculty activities, meetings, group discussions and collaborative initiatives.
• Contribute to research activities, scholarly publications, journal papers, research projects and other initiatives that strengthen the University's research profile.
• Adhere to the University's Quality Policy, Quality Management System, vision, mission, policies and procedures.
• Participate in community engagement and other University activities as required.
• Undertake invigilation and other academic responsibilities assigned by the relevant supervisor.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Head of Department, Team/Module Leader or Faculty leadership.
