Our projects range in value from £5k to £15m, taking the role of Principal Contractor and Principal Designer on various schemes, and supporting our valued Tier 1 contractor clients in a subcontractor and off-site manufacturing capacity.
A working supervisor role, to oversee and manage a team of electricians on several frameworks to be completed across the Thames Valley region for Thames Water.
Contracted to 40hrs per week Monday to Friday. Paid hourly, with all overtime paid. Overtime during the weekends paid at inflated rate.
- To be responsible for supervising electrical installations in accordance with BS7671 and Bridges Health & Safety Rules and Essential Standards
- Ensure that all items are installed to the highest standards, in compliance with the project’s quality plan and inspection and test plans
- To follow and actively promote the STAR dynamic risk assessment and to be empowered to stop work should unsafe circumstances arise
- To coach and mentor Electricians, Electrical Improvers/Mates and Apprentices
- Promote and demonstrate the Bridges’ values when dealing with peers, staff, customers and clients
- Promote positive health and wellbeing amongst their peer
- To act in a professional manner and be an ambassador for Bridges, supporting the business goals and maintaining the company’s positive reputation
- ECS Gold Card (essential)
- SSSTS or SMSTS (essential)
- Appropriate City & Guilds trade Qualification where appropriate
- Experience within the water/waste water industry
- Experience Supervising a small team on installations
- Emergency first aid or First Aider
- Knowledge of health & safety legislation and company procedures
- Prepared to take responsibility for self and others
- Full UK driving license
- Fit to work medical.

- CCNSG and EUSR
- Inspection and testing certificate
- Ability to write simple risk assessments
