Your Job:

We believe in the power of movement and the running community. Our stores are more than a retail space, they are a hub for connection, performance, and purpose. We deliver premium products and best-in-class service to runners of all levels, and we bring that to life through community events, local activations, and authentic storytelling.

As the Retail Program Manager at Brooks, you will lead, manage, and deliver programs that elevate the in-store retail experience and strengthen engagement across Brooks’ retail network. This role facilitates the strategy, development, and execution of programs that support new store openings, community impact, associate engagement, and promotional initiatives. You will work cross-functionally to ensure all programs are scalable, brand-right, and aligned to Brooks’ mission to “awaken the runner in everyone”.
  • Innovate, build, and own programs that have a measurable impact on employee and customer experience and inclusion at Brooks.
  • Obtain stakeholder engagement and partner with key leaders to ensure successful execution of retail programs; identify, develop, and leverage key champions throughout the organization.
  • Drive operational excellence through clearly maintained detailed project plans, documentation, workflows, and standard operating procedures.
  • Establish and lead project management plans for new store openings that can be easily repeatable, including cross-functional coordination and tracking, office supplies, vendor set-up, personnel coordination, planning and tracking.
  • Partner with Retail store management during new store openings, ensuring a consistent experience.
  • Manage the development, execution, and continuous improvement of Community Programs, working alongside all Senior Retail Community Marketing Specialists nationwide.
  • Lead the strategy, communication, and operational rhythm of Associate Incentive Programs.
  • Develop and execute Promotional Programs aligned with marketing campaigns, retail priorities, and seasonal plans.
  • Oversee program budgets, forecasting, and reporting to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Ongoing direct cross-functional alignment across all internal teams including Retail, Marketing, Creative, Supply Chain, Human Resources, and field teams to ensure program success.
  • Define program KPIs, track performance to ensure we are meeting our goals, and use data to identify trends and deliver insights that inform strategic decision-making.
  • Champion Brooks values in every program touchpoint to strengthen brand loyalty and partner relationships.
  • Innovate new processes and tools that improve program visibility, consistency, and retailer engagement.
  • Build strong internal and external relationships to support planning, execution, and continuous improvement.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Retail Operations, or related field; equivalent combination of education and years of experience can be considered in lieu of degree(s)
  • 5+ years of experience in retail program management, retail operations, or related field
  • Strong analytical and planning skills; able to track programs, budgets, and KPIs effectively
  • Experience working within retail field organizations or supporting multi-store networks
  • Experience with promotional planning, incentive programs, or retails marketing
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and timelines with strong organizational skills
  • Proven experience developing or improving processes, with a high degree of initiative and comfort diving into the details
  • Ability to anticipate how a decision made can affect our customers, our partners, our products or other departments’ operations and/or morale; “connecting the dots”
  • Excellent interpersonal skills that inspire and build trust, resulting in effective working relationships across the stores and company
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating effective listening through concise, clear verbal and written communication
  • Keen attention to detail in planning, organization, and execution of tasks, while still seeing the big picture and understanding how all the pieces fit together and affect one another
  • Passionate participation in Brooks’ sports activities a plus, overridden by the ability to understand and empathize with the runner in order to develop loyal, engaging relationships with our customers and the Brooks community
  • Embraces and lives the Brooks values!
