Bud Clary Auto Group — Longview / Washougal Region On-site at Corporate HQ, Kelso, WA | Full-time | Reports to Marketing Manager
Bud Clary Auto Group is a family-owned, third-generation dealership group operating 14 franchise stores across five Washington State cities and representing eight OEM brands. We've been part of the Longview and Cowlitz County community for decades — and we're investing in a modern marketing team that keeps our stores connected to the communities they serve.
The Social Media Specialist is the voice and face of our Longview-area stores online. You'll own the social media presence for our four Longview dealerships plus Westlie Ford in Washougal — creating car content people actually want to watch, engaging with our community in the comments, protecting our reputation across review platforms, and getting out from behind the desk to capture content at the stores and at local events.
This is a creator role with real ownership. You'll be on the lot shooting video, in the showroom capturing launches and deliveries, at community events representing our stores, and behind the screen turning it all into content that builds our brands. If you love cars, know what's trending, and can shoot and edit content that stops the scroll — this is your job.

Social Media Management
- Run the social media accounts for all five stores across Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and any new or emerging platforms we adopt.
- Plan, create, and publish content calendars for each store — balancing inventory highlights, community stories, staff features, and trending formats.
- Shoot video and photography on-site at the dealerships: walkarounds, deliveries, staff content, event coverage, and short-form video.
- Edit content using CapCut, Premiere Pro, Instagram Edits, and similar tools — fast, platform-native, and on-trend.
- Stay on top of social trends, sounds, and formats — and adapt them for automotive content that performs.
Community Engagement and Comment Management
- Manage responses to all comments across organic posts AND paid ads for the five stores — timely, on-brand, and human.
- Escalate customer concerns from comments to the right store contacts and follow through to resolution.
Reputation Management
- Own review responses across Google, Facebook, Yelp, and other reputation platforms for all five stores.
- Respond to reviews promptly and professionally — celebrating the wins, and handling critical reviews with care and escalation when needed.
Local Events
- Plan and execute local community events for the Longview-area stores — from concept through day-of execution.
- Cover store and community events for content, including occasional weekend work.
Store Support
- Manage staff page updates on store websites as team members join and leave.
- Handle business card and nametag ordering for the five stores.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
- Demonstrated experience running social media accounts for a business or brand (or an account you've grown with real traction — show us).
- Hands-on video and photo skills: comfortable shooting on a phone or camera, and editing in CapCut, Premiere Pro, Instagram Edits, or similar.
- Proficient at MS Office
- Strong writing voice for captions, comments, and review responses — professional but human.
- Self-starter who can manage a multi-store content calendar without daily direction.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel between Kelso HQ, the Longview stores, and occasionally Washougal.
- Availability for occasional weekend event coverage.
- Clear and concise communication skills
- Must be 18 years or older
Who Thrives in This Role
- Community people. You genuinely enjoy talking with customers, staff, and neighbors — online and in person.
- Trend followers. You know what's working on TikTok and Instagram this week, not last quarter.
- Car content creators. You want to make automotive content — walkarounds, delivery days, behind-the-scenes at the dealership. If cars aren't interesting to you, this won't be a fit.
- Creators who ship. You'd rather post three good videos this week than one perfect video next month.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
