This position is responsible for repairing vinyl/wood windows in both residential and commercial settings.  Deliver materials to sites as required.  Communicates with customers, other employees and supervisors, verbally and in writing.  Identifies additional service needs while on the job site.       ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES   Investigates/examines the condition of company building workmanship and products on the customer’s site at all stages of construction based on concerns raised by the customer, reports back to the Customer Service team on findings.   Recommends replacement or repair of defective products based on customer service guidelines related to efficiency and cost effectiveness.    Delivers materials to job site as required, using a company provided pickup truck.     Completes forms applicable to service being provided.   Understands and observes all safety procedures and practices in order to prevent injury to self or co-workers; attends periodic safety meetings as required; may recommend changes to improve safety procedures.   Installs screens and verify each window operates correctly   Safety is a major priority.  You will be required to perform your tasks and drive in a safe manner.     Other duties may be assigned.      MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   window installation or service experience preferred.   High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED), or equivalent combination of education and experience.        COMPETENCIES   Window installation or service experience Knowledge of wood construction   Strong attention to detail Knowledge of basic math and measurement skills Good communication and interpersonal skills Valid Driver’s License     WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL ACTIVITY The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.   Subject to both typical office environment and outside locations with temperature and weather variations.
