The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading the plant maintenance processes and operations while ensuring safe work practices. Additional responsibilities include maintaining machinery, planning and managing all repair and installation activities, and developing maintenance procedures to ensure working standards are met. The Maintenance Supervisor also maintains, manages, prioritizes and reports all daily work orders including labor and parts, working through our computerized maintenance management system on a daily basis. The Maintenance Supervisor also manages the performance of the Maintenance team, providing coaching, feedback and development plans.
Responsibilities

- →Ensures operation of equipment by scheduling repairs and facilitating maintenance corrections to malfunctions within process. Institute and audit training drills across the plant.
- →Observes control points and equipment, evaluating new equipment and techniques
- →Implements cost reduction measures
- →Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel. Oversees the preventative maintenance program and shutdown projects.
- →Reports results of maintenance activities on shift production summaries; completes all documentation as required.
- →Performs required maintenance and repairs PM's and lubrication on all equipment
- →Correctly interprets and understands quality requirements to meet specs
- →Mentor and develop team members, managing work allocations, system training, performance evaluations, and the building of an effective and efficient team dynamic.
- →Serves as a Champion for safety regulations and procedures
- →On call during all operational hours of production
- →Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager or other leadership personnel
Requirements

- Ability to read and apply micrometers, calipers, gages and tape measures; ability to operate all maintenance machinery such as lathes, presses and grinders, and overhead cranes.
- Ability to read and interpret manufacturer's equipment and lubrication recommendations
- Ability to work cooperatively with others to ensure constructive and productive business relationships
- 5+years of maintenance supervisory experience in a plant environment; preferably in the metals, steel, or other related heavy industry.
- Experience working with PLC's, motor controls, sensors, limit switches and electro/mechanical systems, and 3-phase 480v equipment.
- Experience in preventative maintenance and lean manufacturing
