Burrow Global is seeking an experienced Construction Planner / Scheduler for a 4-month field assignment in Beaumont, TX. This role will support the execution of a new petrochemical process facility project. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and updating the master project schedule using Primavera P6 and MS Project tracking field progress, analyzing critical paths, and coordinating with site execution, engineering, and procurement teams.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Schedule Development & Maintenance: Maintain and baseline the Primavera P6 CPM (Critical Path Method) schedule, including detailed construction, engineering, procurement, and commissioning activities for the terminal process facility.
- →Progress Tracking & Analysis: Perform weekly site walkthroughs to audit and update physical field progress against baseline targets.
- →Critical Path & Variance Analysis: Identify potential schedule slippages, analyze critical and sub-critical paths, and recommend mitigation strategies or recovery schedules.
- →Petrochemical / Terminal Integration: Align scheduling logic with site-specific sequence requirements, including civil works, structural steel, piping fabrication/erection, heavy lift operations, electrical & instrumentation (E&I), and tie-ins.
- →Resource & Workface Management: Monitor equipment, labor histogram, and productivity metrics; support Look-Ahead schedules (1-week, 2-week, and 3-week) with site superintendents and subcontractors.
- →Reporting & Stakeholder Communication: Produce weekly/monthly progress reports, S-curves, man-hour curves, and milestone variance reports for project leadership and client representatives.
- →Management of Change (MOC): Evaluate the schedule impact of field change orders, requests for information (RFIs), and scope modifications.
Requirements
~1 min read- Experience: Minimum of 5–8+ years of experience in scheduling for industrial construction, heavily weighted toward oil & gas, refining, petrochemical, or chemical terminal facilities.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 Professional and MS Project and Microsoft Excel (advanced reporting/macros). Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) tools is a plus.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of terminal process systems (e.g., storage tanks, piping systems, pump stations, loading racks, flare systems, and electrical substations).
- Work Site Capabilities: Hands-on experience working directly in active industrial field environments alongside craft superintendents and site management.
- Certifications (Preferred): TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) required for site access in Beaumont, TX.
