About the Role

We are seeking Vendor Managers to support various business spend categories including construction, engineering and technical services, electrical equipment, PVF and midstream equipment, IT and technology, professional and contingent workforce, facilities and real estate, as well as fleet and logistics. You will play a pivotal role in building strong, high-value vendor partnerships that help drive business success. You will lead vendor performance management, strengthen key relationships, and ensure contract compliance while advancing operational excellence across the organization. In this role, you will use KPIs, SLAs, and scorecards to measure performance, uncover opportunities for improvement, and help vendors deliver their best. You will also bring sound judgment in risk management and dispute resolution, while building trust-based partnerships, enhancing governance practices, optimizing processes, and aligning vendor services with business strategy to support the successful delivery of organizational objectives.

Responsibilities

•    Lead ongoing vendor management by applying and continuously improving ATCO’s vendor management framework, ensuring vendors are integrated effectively into operations and aligned with business objectives.
•    Manage vendor relationships and serve as a key escalation point, facilitating clear communication, resolving issues, and fostering trust-based partnerships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
•    Monitor vendor performance through KPIs, SLAs, dashboards, scorecards, and governance meetings, using insights to drive accountability, address gaps, and support continuous improvement.
•    Oversee vendor engagements to optimize service, cost, and value, while tracking contract outcomes, supporting renewals and amendments, and ensuring decisions align with organizational priorities.
•    Identify and mitigate vendor-related risks affecting business continuity, compliance, or financial performance, working with legal, contract operations, sourcing, and category management as needed.
•    Establish and maintain effective vendor management processes, tools, documentation, and guidelines, and support the business through training, reporting, audits, and governance reviews.
•    Promote innovation and continuous improvement across vendor relationships to enhance performance, strengthen collaboration, and support shared success.
 

•    Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, Law or a related field. 
•    7+ years of industry experience in one or multiple spend categories or supply chain vendor management
•    Proficiency in ERP procurement systems (Oracle preferred) 
•    Strong Microsoft suite proficiency  
•    Capacity to multi-task, prioritize and respond in a timely manner to changing environments.
•    Proven skill in cultivating long-term trust with your stakeholders and vendors 
•    Strong communication skills, written and verbal 
•    Commitment to maintaining respectful, professional, fair and unbiased vendor treatment and decision-making
•    Strength in collaborating cross-functionally across business units
•    Adaptable to changing market conditions, procurement or supply chain disruption, new technologies, and evolving business goals
