We are looking for a Site Supervisor (Piping & Mechanical Engineer) who will support the delivery of water, energy, and environmental infrastructure projects through the coordination and supervision of piping, mechanical, and electro-mechanical works.
The role focuses on the execution of piping systems, mechanical equipment, valves, metallic structures, and related electro-mechanical installations, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, quality requirements, planning, and budget objectives.
In this multidisciplinary role, you work closely with project teams, design coordinators, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and clients to support the successful delivery of projects.
• Follow up and coordinate piping-related design activities, including 3D modelling and coordination with consultants, clients, and project partners
• Ensure compliance with technical specifications, project schedules, constructability, and maintainability requirements
• Identify piping clashes and coordinate technical solutions with civil engineering teams
• Prepare and issue RFQs for piping systems and mechanical equipment
• Follow up execution design activities including stress calculations, thermal expansion assessments, support systems, and QA/QC requirements
• Review equipment datasheets in coordination with equipment specialists
• Evaluate technical and commercial offers and provide recommendations
• Contribute to project pricing activities and project risk assessments
• Perform compliance reviews of selected suppliers and subcontractors
• Prepare and support negotiations of purchase orders
• Coordinate technical approvals and procurement documentation
• Follow up detailed engineering and fabrication activities
• Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), prepare reports, and follow up corrective actions
• Follow up site deliveries and coordinate corrective actions when required
• Supervise the installation of mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment
• Ensure compliance with QA/QC procedures and project specifications
• Monitor compliance with PED requirements, including welding, inspections, testing, and pressure testing activities
• Issue, monitor, and close non-conformities
• Support start-up and commissioning activities
• Monitor planning, budgets, variations, and claims related to the mechanical scope
• Coordinate with process, electrical, instrumentation, and civil disciplines throughout project execution
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent through experience
• 5–10 years of experience in a similar technical environment
• Solid knowledge of mechanical equipment and piping systems
• Basic knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, and instrumentation
• Experience within water treatment projects is considered an asset
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Commercial awareness
• Strong organizational and people management capabilities
• Team player with a hands-on approach
• Fluent in English, Dutch, and French
• Language proficiency in all three languages is required
