Summary Description of Position:

 The CFM 56/V 2500 Fleet Manager you will provide program oversight from a commercial, reliability and technical standpoint for all CFM 56 powerplant related shop visit removals. 

   The Fleet Manager will ensure that all powerplant commodities are inducted into the repair process on time; reliability initiatives and service bulletins are accomplished in accordance with CAM expectations; audit all financial quotes to ensure actual work performed is in line with expense and challenge where necessary.

   The Fleet Manager will audit customer owned property regularly; assist with forecasting and source parts to keep costs in line or below budget; coordinate work scopes with carriers and repair stations; and drive consistent performance and process improvements through on-site management of contract terms with MRO’s located in the U.S. and Europe. 

Minimum Requirements and Qualification: 

  1. Minimum 8 years airline and/or equivalent experience with engine type CF6-80C2, CFM56-5B, V2500, RB211-Trent 700 and/or APU programs at an MRO, airline or leasing company as a Program Manager, Production Manager and/or Powerplant Engineer
  2. Proven track record of positively influencing work processes and behaviors in relatively short amounts of time
  3. Strong problem-solving skills and very strong analytical thinking skills
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)

Major Responsibility Areas and Duties:

  1. Ability to travel is required, frequency driven by shop visit schedules at CAM engine repair facilities
  2. Oversight on CAM engine repair activity to ensure supplier obligations are achieved
  3. Ensure all workscopes support CAM commercial and technical expectations
  4. Audit repair invoices
  5. Report engine repair progress with current estimated date for return to service
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
  • Flexibility to work and travel outside of normal working hours, as needed

Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions: 

  1. Ability to perform work utilizing a computer for extended periods of time
  2. Ability to work in a repair shop environment
  3. Ability to withstand constant to intermittent loud noise levels
  4. Ability to have close and distance vision
  5. Ability to lift up to 30lbs
