Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to resident service requests and complete work orders efficiently and professionally.

  • Perform general repairs and maintenance, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, appliances, and other building systems.

  • Assist in the implementation of the property’s preventative maintenance plan to reduce emergency repairs and prolong the life of equipment.

  • Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and areas for improvement.

  • Help maintain the property’s curb appeal by assisting with groundskeeping, cleaning common areas, and removing trash and debris.

  • Prepare units for new residents, including turnover maintenance, painting, and repairs.

  • Work closely with the Maintenance Manager to ensure inventory of tools, parts, and supplies is properly stocked.

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies at all times.

  • Assist in monitoring vendor performance and report issues to the Maintenance Manager.

  • Participate in on-call rotation and respond to after-hours emergencies as needed.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of general maintenance experience, preferably in multifamily or student housing.

  • Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair.

  • EPA Certification (Type II or Universal) required.

  • CPO (Certified Pool Operator) certification is a plus (if applicable).

  • Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.

  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently.

  • Good communication and customer service skills.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in a variety of environmental conditions.
