Licensed EMDR Therapist

Therapists responsibilities include:

• →Assessment and diagnosis — Conduct psychological evaluations, gather clinical histories, administer appropriate assessments, and develop diagnostic impressions when within their scope of practice.
• →Treatment — Treat trauma-related concerns, including PTSD, anxiety, grief, and other trauma-associated difficulties, when within the therapist’s scope of practice.
• →Treatment planning — Establish goals with clients, monitor progress, modify treatment when needed, and make referrals when another service is more appropriate.
• →Client safety — Assess and respond appropriately to risks such as suicide, self-harm, abuse, violence, or other urgent concerns, following applicable laws and professional standards.
• →Documentation — Maintain accurate, timely, and secure clinical records, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and relevant communications.
• →Other responsibilities as required

• Completion of an EMDR training program that meets recognized professional standards
• Have appropriate experience assessing and treating trauma and related mental-health conditions
• Candidates must be independently licensed in Virginia or Maryland. Licensure in Washington, D.C. is preferred, with priority given to clinicians licensed across all jurisdictions
• Priority consideration given to clinicians willing to serve pre-adolescent populations
• Passion for high-quality, compassionate mental health care
• Commitment to ongoing professional development
• Desired experience 1-3 years
• Must be local

• Experience working with range of diverse clientele
• Availability during after-school hours, evenings, or weekends
• Willingness to work a hybrid schedule (some in-person availability preferred)
