Position Overview
Heart Care Centers of Illinois (HCCI) is seeking a full-time Electrophysiologist to join our established physician-led cardiovascular practice serving the Southwest suburbs of Chicago. This role includes a mix of hospital-based EP lab, ambulatory surgery center (ASC), and clinic responsibilities with strong procedural volume and a collaborative EP team.

Key responsibilities/services include:
  • Complex and typical ablations
  • Pacemaker and ICD implantation
  • Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy (CRT)
  • EP studies and remote monitoring
  • Watchman and structural EP-related procedures
  • Arrhythmia management across inpatient and outpatient settings

The incoming physician will join a high-volume EP program with access to advanced cardiovascular services and strong referral patterns across the region. EP only call responsibilities (1:15) provide balanced coverage and physician support.

Compensation includes a competitive base salary, productivity incentives, and partnership/equity opportunities.

Established for over 50 years, HCCI is a thriving physician-led cardiovascular group serving patients throughout the Chicagoland area. The practice consists of:
  • 31 Cardiologists
    • 16 Interventional Cardiologists
    • 5 Electrophysiologists
    • 2 Heart Failure Cardiologists
    • 8 Non-Invasive Cardiologists
  • 8 Advanced Practice Providers
  • 200+ support staff members

Practice highlights include:
  • Coverage across 10 hospitals and 6 clinic locations
  • State-of-the-art outpatient vascular lab and in-office diagnostics
  • 100,000+ patient visits annually
  • Advanced programs including:
    • TAVR
    • Advanced CHF
    • Pulmonary Hypertension
    • Heart Transplant / Artificial Heart
    • Venous Disease and Hypertension Clinics

Qualifications
  • Board Certified / Eligible in Cardiovascular Medicine and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology
  • Completion of accredited Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Medicine, and Electrophysiology training programs
  • MD or DO
  • Eligible for Illinois medical licensure
  • Open to experienced Electrophysiologists and 2026–2027 fellows
