Mechanical Engineer

Simes and Rosch Engineering is hiring a Mechanical Engineer to lead HVAC design across commercial, municipal, and government projects.

• →Design HVAC systems from concept through construction documents for commercial, municipal, and government clients
• →Perform load calculations, equipment selection, and ductwork/piping layout
• →Coordinate with architects, structural, and electrical engineers throughout project delivery
• →Review and oversee construction administration, including RFI responses and submittal review
• →Ensure designs meet applicable codes (ASHRAE, IECC, local jurisdiction requirements) and project specifications
• →Support proposal development and scope estimation for new projects as needed

• Minimum 5 years of experience designing HVAC systems, with direct experience in commercial, municipal, and/or government sectors
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
• Strong working knowledge of HVAC design software (e.g., Trane TRACE, Carrier HAP, or similar load calculation tools)
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Revit MEP
• Solid understanding of mechanical codes and energy standards
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with minimal oversight
• Strong communication skills for client-facing and cross-discipline coordination
