Aircraft Maint Spt. Technical Publications (Level 2)

The Aircraft Maintenance Support Engineer position at Lockheed Martin involves responsibilities related to the development, validation, and maintenance of organizational-level technical publications for the on-equipment maintenance of C-130 B-H, C-130J, or C-5 aircraft. These publications are created and maintained using Organizational Maintenance Manual Set (OMMS) and S1000D formats within the LM Aeronautics Virtually Integrated System for Technical Authoring (VISTA) and Technical Content Authoring and Management System (TCAMS). The role primarily focuses on creating technical publications for complex aircraft electrical and avionics systems, including various systems such as automatic flight control, communication, navigation, radar, surveillance, and electronic warfare. Effective communication with customers, engineering teams, and other organizations is essential to define aircraft maintenance requirements. Basic qualifications include a bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience, along with 2 years of professional experience or a related master's degree. Desired skills encompass experience in manuscript authoring, editing, technical and/or aircraft maintenance, as well as familiarity with Interactive Electronic Technical Publications (IETP).
