Mechanical Engineer I

• →Conduct static analyses of mechanical structures or develop solid models to predict stress and structural performance.
• →Conduct FEA of complex structures to determine mechanical shock survivability in a shipboard environment
• →Develop mechanical shock test procedures
• →Assist the Design Team with material selection using proper commercial and/or Military Specifications.
• →Conduct Quality Assurance reviews of design and engineering products.

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, civil or structural engineering.
• Ability to maintain a DoW Secret Clearance.
• U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance
• Physically capable to conduct ship checks on United States Nuclear Submarines:
• Be comfortable in relatively confined spaces.
• Capable of climbing vertical ladders (20’ – 25’) within the submarine.
• At least Zero (0) to Two (2) years business experience in:

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $69,000.00/Yr. - USD $72,000/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
